Today was my first visit to my new dentist office in ames. I felt really welcomed as soon as I walked in. Everyone was very friendly. My exam went great! The offices are very nice , I loved that was able listen to Spotify during my check up. I think I'm going to love coming to the Overman dentistry. I know it's only my first day , I'm going to love this place.

Right when you walk in they make you feel like family. The first meeting they wanted to get to know you. During my cleaning the hygienist noticed glue from my bar that I had removed and the past people didn’t clean it off, she asked the Dr if he could clean it off. He did. Happily!! I lived with that stupid glue on my teeth for years. So happy we chose to start going here. Second visit was just like the first, remembered things about me and asked how things were going. Highly recommend!

We LOVE Dr. Overman and the staff at Overman Family Dentistry! In 2018, my 4 year old daughter had a severe cross bite making it hard for her to chew…Dr. Overman introduced us to the Myo brace. Within a year, she no longer needed to continue using it! Even though she no longer needs the myo brace services, we still continue to travel 3 hours to Ames for her regular 6 month checkup/cleanings because they are simply the best! I will include photos from 2018(before), 2019(after) and today 6-1-2026 after her cleaning!

The reception staff is very helpful, and I’ve only had amazing service here. In the three years I’ve been seeing them, I’ve never had any issues. I’ve been to many dental offices across Central Iowa and even around the country, and overall I’ve been the most pleased with Overman’s service. They are very professional, make you feel comfortable, and truly care about their patients. I highly recommend them.

Overman Family Dentistry is amazing from start to finish. The front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming — they actually make you feel comfortable walking into a dentist’s office (which is saying a lot!). Everyone there is super kind, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. Dr. Overman is awesome — he takes his time to explain things, makes sure you’re comfortable, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. He’s got such a calm, reassuring way about him that instantly puts you at ease. The hygienists and assistants are fantastic too — gentle, thorough, and just great people all around (as well as musical knowledge). The whole place has such a positive, family feel to it. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this office. If you’re looking for a dentist who truly cares and a staff that makes you feel like family, Overman Family Dentistry is the one!

I can't say enough great things about Overman Family Dentistry and their entire team! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that immediately put me at ease. The office is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They even have a comfort menu that you can select various needs from along the lines of a blanket, pillow, music, or your favorite TV show. The staff went above and beyond to make my visit a positive experience. They're friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about your comfort and your experience. Whether it's a routine cleaning or a more involved procedure, everything is explained clearly so you always know what to expect. Dr. Chambers is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and detail-oriented. You can tell they truly care about their patients' health and take pride in their work. We had such a great experience at Overman Family Dentistry! They are incredibly family friendly and were so patient with my kids, taking the time to explain what was happening and what to expect in a way that made them feel comfortable. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and were very transparent throughout the entire visit. The child play room was awesome and made a huge difference while I was in the exam room with one kid at a time. It made the whole appointment smooth and stress free. Highly recommend for families!

We’ve had such a great experience here! The entire staff has always been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dr. Overman is amazing with kids and takes a holistic, whole-body approach, which I really appreciate. We originally started going for expansion for my daughter, and I love that they offer gentler expansion options that work with the body. Dr. Overman is thoughtful and attentive, always checking progress, making sure things are on track, and pivoting when needed. All options are explained clearly, and you never feel rushed or pushed. The care here feels genuinely kind and compassionate. You can tell they truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide great service. 5 stars, 10/10 recommend.
